Sustainability

The Ivory will be solar and carless.

We are offering buyers the opportunity to live without a vehicle by providing every mobility option available at your disposal and in an area that is easily accessible to downtown and major employment centers.

The Ivory redefines sustainability by:

  • providing solar coverage for ~90% of owner’s electric usage

  • adhering to the City of Austin’s Climate Protection Plan by not using gas to the building

  • creating a building with high green building standards

  • eliminating onsite parking spaces

  • providing owners private access to The Ivory’s two shareable cars

  • giving each owner a $1,500 Mobility Credit towards purchasing an electric bicycle (or other mobility expenses)

  • providing a Mobility Hub featuring 5 B-Cyles, a new covered Cap Metro Bus Stop, private storage for e-bikes and plentiful lockable spaces for other bikes

Carless

The average household in America spends $15,000 per year owning a car! The Ivory is giving our owners the opportunity to finally let go of their car. We are providing you every available mobility option at your disposal.

The five B-cyles, the new bus stop with community-based art and the $1500 mobility credit are all amazing, right! But the real creme de la creme are the electric vehicles that are on-site ONLY for you

Through a partnership with an Austin-based carshare company, The Ivory will have two electric vehicles on-site that are ONLY for the owners! The carshare company will provide an App for each owner to reserve a car for a quick trip or a trip to the Hill Country.

Solar Energy

The Ivory has been modeled to have enough solar to cover close to 90% of electric needs for all residents. AND, since we are following the City’s Climate Protection Plan we do not have gas. So, that means, each owner will save close to $100 per month just in solar costs
